Was a Military Escort given to Vietnam War casualties to their home state?

Just saw the movie "Taking Chance" with Kevin Bacon. Today is Memorial Day and I am married to a Vietnam Vet and had a brother in service during Vietnam war. I want to know if the same courtesy was given to all the fallen heroes of Vietnam. I bring this up, and want to know, mainly becuase of the fact the way a lot of Vietnam vets were treated by US citizens when they returned home and wondered if the casualties were given the same respect as is being done now with the causualties of Irag, Afghanistan, Desert Storm, etc.
