Disabilities and working.?

My mother is currently on social security disability and I am 17, and looking for a job. However, she is unsure if I will even be able to work? Because, she gets a check every month just for having me from social security. Is it true that I might not be able to work or they will take that money away? Or is there any type of restriction on how many hours they would allow me to work? And I know this is of the topic of this question but does anyone know how many hours a week a 17 year old can work in the state of Pennsylvania, thanks.
